We regularly use taxidermy of insects in order to define, categorize and understand them. With all this great variety of insects people are still able to decide whether their looking at a butterfly or dragonfly using common characteristics they know. After photographing Taxidermy insects, using a 4x5 film camera, I decided to re create these insects into new species. Braking them up and re assembling them together, using not only their own features, but also appropriating parts from other insects I created my own insects. My new insects have nothing related with practicality, they wouldn't be able to fly if actuallyexisted. I created them while trying to imitate the most basic distinguishable characteristics of common insects. The results are meaningless shapes made out of insects parts that we can call or define as a beetle or butterfly by mistake.
